 The mission of The Piney Woods School is to provide excellence in  education within a Christian community through creation of an  exceptional academic model which supports the tenet that all students  can learn, develop a strong work ethic, and lead extraordinary lives  through academic achievement and responsible citizenship, but may not  have the opportunity to do so for financial or other reasons.

The Mattison L. Haywood “LoveisKey” Foundation is an endowment foundation that will support the areas that were most important to Mattison when she lived. The words ‘LoveisKey” was her moniker on all her creative art work, notes to family and friends, her photos and the many journals she wrote during her lifetime.

Mattison Leatrice Haywood was a beautiful Christian young woman; a giver of her time and money to the under-served, the homeless and the less fortunate.
